Is this a good response to the new insulin?

Back for more advice  Donut got 1 unit of insulin today (day 2 of her new BCP PZI trial). Her pre-shot number was 370 and 6 hours later (possible nadir--not sure yet) her BG was 280. I know that's not low enough yet but is a drop of 90 points somewhat normal? I know every cat is different and we're in the very early monitoring stage but was wondering what a reasonable decrease is in the BG. As always, thanks so much.

Seems like she's off to a good start :) every cat is different and it can take some time to get regulated but as long as you keep testing, feeding good food, and try to stick to a schedule hopefully it won't be long. It took Hidey some time but that was only because he was first put on vetsulin and it did nothing for him. Another thing you might want to try is mini meals to help the pancreas. I have Hidey diet controlled now but I have to feed him about every 5 hrs lol keep up the good work and testing, don't forget a diabetic friendly treat for her and a treat for yourself :)
