Is kale toxic to cats?

Civie ate some kale :shock: Is it toxic? He didn't eat much, just sampled the edge of a leaf before i grabbed him ohmygod_smile
 
I'm not 100% sure but I just recently saw it in a canned cat food but that might be in a processed state it's okay? ASPCA has a toxic plant list that it might be on if it were.
 
The raw food supplier I use adds kale to their mix. It's high in protein. Civie should be OK.
 
I didn't find any conflicting data on a search other than kale can have pesticides. It looks like it's perfectly safe. I doubt that Leroy ate a bushel of kale.
 
My raw food supplier uses raw kale juiced in their product. My mother has a market garden and sells their off product kale (bug holes, slightly old, etc.) to someone who manufactures raw dog food. In both cases it's organic kale.

Hope Leroy is doing fine after his food adventure. These cats will keep you on your toes. Sometimes it's like raising small children.

So far so good nailbite_smile All 6 Ps in place, the usual 5 plus PITA :razz: Still going to kep an eye on him for the next few days. Leroy is an Aby which explains a lot :shock: He runs on some internal super battery 24/7 (I swear he never ever sleeps :shock: ), he literally bounces off the walls, he gets into everything has has been to the ER twice ohmygod_smile he's got feline ADD, and he's also a "terrible two" right now though Abys never outgrow the "terrible two" stage @-)
