Is it time for dose increase?

I am thinking to up Andy's dose to 1.5u but not sure if we are ready yet. I have been reading that PZI can have onset of +2. Should I first test Andy at +2 to see if he is dropping too low earlier than I am testing? or can more experienced eyes here determine what could be happening with this current dose of 1.2u? Could he be dropping too quickly? He has had more yellow at .8u and 1u than at 1.2u. Does this indicate his dose should go lower? Up or down or stay the course - that is the question! :)
PS - He is almost ravenous but according to feeding guidelines here, he is getting more calories for his current weight.

I think I'd raise, on a cycle you can monitor. He has room to drop and a little higher can push the nadir later. Yes, a check around +2 tells you whether he is dropping fast (like 50% ) and you need to monitor carefully - although that hasn't been his pattern. ECID thing.....

You could also consider a sliding scale. So give the higher dose on a pink/red and plan to shoot a little less if he throws you a yellow preshot. Some cats seem to need the consistency of the same dose every time for several cycle; some do very well changing it up. I don't see anything super low that could cause a bounce, so I am thinking a little more insulin.

Thanks Sue - what is ECID? I have not tried sliding scale yet. Will consider that - fingers crossed.

Sorry- Every cat is different. The only thing we really know about feline diabetes. Murphy and Bubba are perfect examples of this. They dance to their own drummer.

About the food. I meant to say - have you tried adding warm water and spreading it around on a plate? Sometimes that makes them feel like they are eating more.

Great idea - he will also get more water that way too which never hurts. Thx. Soup tonight - haha!
