I have switched Scrabble over to a totally low carb canned diet as of yesterday. He absolutely loves deli turkey, is it ok to give him some small pieces? I buy the low sodium deli turkey. Thanks so much, he loves it!!

Good thing to remember if he ever doesn't want to eat. Or to use as an occasional treat???

I give deli turkey to Boomer too and Perdue pre-cooked chicked strips. They come in a ziplock bag thing and he loves them. Maybe Scrabble would like them?

There's a section in my grocery store that has chicken strips/tenders that are already cooked. They are in the meat area but they come packaged in a baggie with cardboard packaging over it. There are all different kinds - some more expensive, some less. I just got this the other day so I wouldn't have to cook them and they work out great. I'm sure they're in every grocery store - it's for "lazy" people who don't want to cook!

Some deli turkey has more sugar than others due to different flavorings (e.g., honey, smoked). You might want to check the nutrition labels for sugar, corn syrup, or other sweeteners, and also see how many carbs a serving has. You can do your own math to see what % carbs it is.
