Interesting that someone has decided to put all the needed supplies together. Pretty enterprising! Would be handy, but seems pretty expensive considering what a bg meter, 10 strips, lancets and ketone strips cost.

If nothing else, this site has our syringes cheaper than what we pay at the vet.

Remember to check hocks.com also... There is a link at the top of the board. FDMB gets an 8% commission for each purchase, but you have to order through the link.

That is the kind I use. I am very happy with it. When Tida was first diagnosed, I bought one online. I didn't realize at the time, that any human glucometer would work. The main thing is the initial cost of the meter. The strips are a little more, but not that much.

In fact, when I took Tida to the vet on Monday, I took my whole kit with me. The vet said, she had never seen one, but was impressed.

I think that link is just the meter though, not bundled with supplies (just a starter 10 strips & lancets). My vet bundled other stuff for me at the same price, but that was just luck on my part I think. :)

I get strips at Hocks for around $33, that was the cheapest I found, but it's been several months since I've done any comparison shopping.

I have been happy with mine, though now using a human meter to save a few dollars on test strips.
