Okay if I remember correctly an inverse curve is a sign to decrease dose...right? Ms. Musette even with the slight drop in dose last night and this morning seems to not like it, as she is giving me an inverse curve this morning by going up instead of down after her morning shot...So should I reduce her further or hold at the .8 for a few days to see if she settles again?

I would hold the dose and let her settle.

You started the decrease off a rebound high so it is going to take a while to even things out again. I always shoot the old, higher dose, into the rebound high BG and reduce at the next PS because that is usually lower again (they seem to cycle in 24 hrs when they are rebounding on just a little too much insulin).

Thanks that was what I was wondering, since she is running so high today I kind of figured that it was at least partly rebound. I know she can take off but going from 158 to 300+ said rebound was still playing a roll. So I'll just hold her at the .8u and let her settle down again then wait to see if she gives me a 50 or less before reducing her again. Now that we are starting to make progress I don't want to screw it up...lol. And this is such new territory for me, Maxwell spoiled me with how quickly he went off, so this part of the dance I'm still learning the steps to. :-D

But if I can get this girl OTJ or at least in tight regulation I'm gonna start to feel like a pro. I really wish she would go OTJ soon so I could check off at least one animal that I'm medicating...Got to take the drooler into the vet hopefully tomorrow, he's ears are a mess again, don't think it is earmites, since its squishy sounding when you rub them, so probably looking at more antibiotics, and ear drops for yet another yeast infection, he's also licking and chewing on his legs again..then there is Onyx who is still getting daily pred for his allergies, so I'm beginning to feel like I'm running an animal hospital. I keep trying to tell them that they should at least let me finish school before giving me so much practice. <sigh>

Yeah, I had three cats at once needing meds so I know the feeling like you are running a clinic in your kitchen/bathroom.dining room, "Next!"

The bag of lactated ringers on the back of the bathroom door adds to the picture.
