InsulinX strips vs alphatrak2?

I have an alphatrak 2 but don't use it due to the cost of the strips. I've been using a relion meter for a while now and have about 75 strips remaining.

My vet really wants me to use alphatrak for more accurate readings and I'd like that too....they're just too pricey. I read elsewhere that insulinX strips work in the AT meter.

Does anyone have experience with these? Do they come close to the AT readings?
