Does it matter if you inject the insulin cold out of the fridge or should you let it warm up to room temp in the syringe before injection?

Most members keep their insulin in the refrigerator. There is no need to let the syringe come up to room temp. It can be a bit confusing since the Lantus pens, once opened, can be stored at room temp. However, that makes more sense for humans since the dose is typically considerably larger. We recommend keep Lantus refrigerated to get the longest use from an opened container.

You can give it straight out of the fridge but some cats do not like it that cold, Babu was one of them so I used to prepare the syringe a few minutes before giving the shot, not to much since it's not good to let it in the syringe for long periods of time but just enough so that it was not fridge cold and more like room temp or warm it in my hands like Alex depending on how much time I had
