Insulin Stored in Syringe Question

If I take Poopy with me to the doctor and other running around I MUST do tonight (which puts his shot a few hours late), could I preload his syringe for his 5:30 shot? The insulin would be in the syringe for about 3 hours (I know I'd need to mix it again prior to shooting).

I'll only be able to check replies for another hour or so. :sad:

I searched for this. Apparently with Lantus, it's a no-no. I found this thread that seemed to indicate it was alright.

So my answer is that I think it's okay but I am not sure. Hope someone else is more positive than I am......
