Now that summer is here and I am not working, I will be away from my home more. Therefore, I wondering about the times I need to give shots to Rocky. I usually give them around 8am and 8pm. What happens if I'm not at home, especially at the evening hour? How long can time go between shots. In other words, how late or early can I be? I really don't want to mess up his schedule, but I do have a life too.

It needs to be as close to 12 hours apart as possible.

What are 2 times, 12 hours apart that are most likely to work? Noon and midnight? 2 am & pm?

Or, can you hire & train someone to do one of the shots?

A couple of years ago for about two years I shot my cats on the weekends on an 8/16 hour schedule. Not optimum at all but they did OK.

12 hours is ideal give or take 30minutes. If you can plan to be out then you can alter the schedule by 30minutes a day to accommodate that.

If your shot is late then its not the end of the world but make sure the next shot is at least 12 hours out - you dont want to shoot early.

You're using ProZinc, which is a bit more flexible with shot times being off. You do want to stick to the 12 hour schedule as closely as possible, but if you might need to give an earlier shot and Rocky tests high enough (I.e. over 200), then usually you can give a shot early without problem. That being said, I highly recommend sticking as close to 12 hours as possible because sometimes, that test showing 200 might be before nadir (lowest point) has hit. The closer to 12 hours, the less likely the case.
