Linus is on a 9 am and 9 pm schedule. If I need to change the am time for one day, is it better to give him his shot at 8:15 am or at 10:30 am?
 
With time to plan ahead, you may shift shot times by 30 minutes per day or 15 minutes per shot so that you're not too off schedule, nor delaying or shooting early by too much time.
 
Good. What is the definition of " by too much time"? Is 1/2 hour either way significant?
 
It isn't as much of a problem with PZI as it is with Lantus or Levemir, but shooting early creates overlap and overlap, if it is strong enough, can cause unanticipated lows.

However, with PZI, you could slightly reduce your dose to compensate for that, so I might take the dose, figure out what number of hours early it would be - if a quarter of the 12 hours, I might drop the dose a quarter.
