Does anyone know of a vet in Canada who would be willing to give me a prescription for Lantus for my cat? I want to be able to just go to the pharmacy and get her insulin. I don't want to go to the vet to get her blood tested just to get the prescription every time. The vet is very stressful for her and it's expensive for no reason. I am monitoring her blood glucose all day every day so I know that she still needs the insulin.
Please let me know.
Thank you

When I ordered it from Marks Pharmacy there I only needed to give them the prescription the first time I got the insulin. After that, I was able to order without it

Why do you want a prescription? You don't need one to buy insulin in Canada. I live in Canada (west coast). I just went to the pharmacy and asked for it. However, I do have to mention it's for a cat, because they have to charge taxes on top.

Looking through previous posts, I see that you are in Ontario. Humans need a prescription but cats do not. Just tell your pharmacist that it is for your diabetic cat.
This costs around $120 and would last a long time.
