Hi everyone, it's a long story but our car might need a new ignition switch, the mechanic wanted us in there at 9:30, we usually give perkins his shot between 10:30 and 11:00 most of the time at 11:00. The mechanic is a little off the wall but I think gives good prices so I put up with some nonsense about timing. Anyway I don't think we would be home in time to give the shot so I decide I would start doing the shots earlier so I could give it before we go. Last night I thought it was 10:30 but it turned out to be 9:30, I was really tired and made a mistake. So I gave it about a hour early, today perkins has some soft stool , I can't help but wonder if it's because I gave the insulin a hour early. In the future I will have to make people work more on our schedule, the mechanic doesn't have to deal with a cat with diabetes we do. Is it ok to give a cat a shot a hour early? or should I go back to our old schedule. Thanks

If you want to change back to your "old" schedule, just make adjustments in your shot times.....15 minutes per cycle or 30 minutes once a day is what we usually suggest

So if you gave it at 9:30 and you want to give at 11, shoot 15 minutes per cycle later until you're back where you want to be (15 minutes per cycle is less likely to effect numbers) OR you can shoot late by 30 minutes on each day

ok thanks, that's what I will have too do. No more playing around with insulin to accommodate mechanics or anyone else.
