Injections and topical flea drops?

My cats and dog are due for their advantage II and K9 Advantix flea drops. I usually give Chuck his insulin injection between or near his shoulder blades. Should I change the injection site and if so where is best to keep away from the flea drops? I can't skip the drops because my other cat goes out frequently along with my dog and we already had fleas on them after being a week late on the drops!
 
You should pick a different spot to inject when you do the flea treatment:

Any of these spots are good.
 
Thank you! Should I pick a different spot until the drops are dry or just pick a new spot and stick with it.

I would give it a few days to make sure the drops are dry and have been absorbed. I personally use the the flank and side of belly for my two and rotate between these locations. Some people find that they get different absorption rates with different areas so if you try different areas, you can keep track of them and see if you notice any difference. But whatever you are comfortable with is what works best for you. Just avoid the scruff for a couple of days after the flea treatment

I give Keno Comfortis - which is an oral medication for fleas. I just mash it up into a powder and put it in one of her meals on flea day. Because she's a good eater, she eats every bite so I know she gets all of it.
