Injection Site?

Does anyone inject in the flank or stomach areas? I just read that the scruff of the neck is not an ideal place to inject as sometimes the insulin does not get absorbed. I'm going to try this with Charlie tomorrow to see if it helps as his numbers are still crazy high after almost a year.

I do, both, just depends how Asia is laying at injection time, but she's pretty tolerant and not bothered by any of the pokes.

We started doing the flank and side of chest after Gandalf developed lipohypertrophy when shot repeatedly in the scruff. The lipohypertrophy settled after a few weeks but it is so much easier to vary the site of injection when you have two sides of the kitty to choose from. We still use the scruff sometimes as well.

We always shot in the scruff, or shoulder area. That was just easiest for us.
