not sure what Lincoln is doing... the depot is back to 7u now and the pinks are back.... 7.25 was giving us very low nights... i did wait for the 3 drops before going back to 7u... how long do i wait before going back to 7.25??
feeling a little discouraged
hoping everyone is having a great day and that the sunshine finds all of us [/URL]
I would call it a failed reduction and go back up at your convenience. After a reduction, you usually wait for the bounce to subside, and if they aren't in greens then, it's a failed reduction. Lincoln did get to greens, but the larger depot was still in play. The other sign of a failed reduction is when the numbers start to drift upwards. That seems to be happening now. To be super safe I would sometimes wait a full 6 cycles after the last green to make sure it wasn't a bounce. So you could wait until tomorrow morning to increase.
With that red, I can imagine the patience pants were feeling very uncomfortable.
I agree with Wendy that it looks like this reducie didn't take. When you do increase, I'd have a firm chat with Lincoln about avoiding the midnight swims and doing his surfing during the daytime!
has anyone here given intermuscular injections?? i ask because i have an antihistamine and steroid that needs to be injected that way.... its for Savannah should she have an allergic reaction again and stop breathing... tonight she sounds gurgly again in her breathing and i swear i feel a little swelling between her neck and her throat... i have watched videos on how to do it in the quad... but i was hoping someone here has experience and can give some tips... i dont know if i will have to use this but am concerned about doing so
she is IBD and has been having issues with hairballs since we changed everyone over to soft food for Lincolns FD... the last two were massive and super stinky... they had weight to them... and once again its been a few weeks... i can feel her stomach is getting a little harder again cause its in there... i asked the vet about a med to make her vomit but he really didnt want to give one and said there was no way to ensure that if we gave it that the hairball would come up
his recommendation was more laxatone... i fear that if the hairball is the size of the last two and with her IBD issues it would cause a blockage... but he said it has to be lubed to come out of either end... so yesterday i gave her more like he said... this morning pudding poo because of it.. still no hair... and now today she wont take any laxatone or vaseline at all!.. i dont know what else to do to help with the hairball and now the breathing issue is rearing its head again... i just dont know what to do to help her tonight
Oh gesh Amber so sorry Savannah isn't feeling well. Unfortunately I don't have any experience to help you . Have you googled it looking for a video or something? Sending lots of vines and
yes i watched a few videos on youtube... was hoping for some pointers from people who actually did it not just some vet showing and talking..,.. i get the concept of where to shoot and place my fingers but doing it when she needs it is the worry especially since it would be my first time... feels like she almost has a swollen gland... hoping she stays safe till morning then i can take her in if no change
