I had some insulin leakage problems. When you make a tent. You should inject at the bottom of the tent. Then inject insulin and release pinch, but leave the needle in for a little while.

Can pinching too long make the insulin come back out? I just read this in an article sent to me

I dont know about pinching. I understood you inject the insulin, hold the needle in there for 5-10 seconds. Withdraw the needle. Press lightly on the wound for a few seconds.. no pinch.

I rub Ozy's fur the wrong way and find a spot where I can see skin, then pull the skin up, slide the needle through the skin layer and inject. Does that make sense?

4 Ps for givin insulin
Pinch up a tent of skin.
Poke in the needle.
Push in the plunger.
Pull out the needle.

When Gobbles was on insulin, I would part his hair where I was going to inject him, then wet it with a little water first so I could easily see his skin...then I would make a tiny tent, inject, keep needle in place for 10 seconds, then slowly pull needle out and apply very light pressure for 5 seconds....
