My recent diagnosis cat, come to find out also has urinary issues. He's probe to blockage. I can't afford the high end foods..from vet or store. Also I live in small town and moat of our stores also don't have sone of the special brands.
What can I use from walmart or United supermarket.

This list may be dated but it's a place to start.

Dr. Lisa's food chart breaks out the carb and phosphorus values. It's a bit of a chore to wade through all of the information but it's good information. Another option is to look at Tanya's site. There is a wonderful amount of information there about feline kidney disease and I believe they have a food list.

Another option is to use a homemade diet. There are pre-mixes (i.e., a dry addition you add to raw or cooked food to make the diet nutritionally complete. Many of us shop online for EZ Complete.)
