We are on a very late dosing schedule at the moment and because I had to leave the house very early this morning and because I could not monitor Lucy on the advice of our vet I gave a reduced dose very late last night because I think with the full 2.5 units we would likely have seen lower green numbers because the bounce was clearing and sure enough even on about half the dose we have a green number again. I am unwell so I cancelled my appointment. I can reschedule it for this afternoon so I am hoping Lucy's glucose levels don't drop much more today so I can go to my appointment. Between my health issues and Lucy's lowering glucose levels I may never see the outside world again. :D:cool:

I'm so sorry you're ill - that's no fun at all.

Lucy is on a mission, it seems. Remember that even though you only gave her 1.0u tonight, she still has the previous 2.5u dose's depot influencing her blood sugar.

I hope you feel better and I hope Lucy stays flat for you for a bit.

Thank you Julie. I have Crohn's disease and having a bit of a flareup. Yes the previous dose is still having an effect as you said. Even if I am better by this afternoon I worry about going out with green numbers as I usually stay home and monitor Lucy when that happens. If I had known I was going to be unwell this morning I would have given Lucy her full dose last night as I really don't like not being consistent with the dosing and we haven't been very consistent in recent weeks. Still it seems that Lucy is on a mission as you said. :)

Go Lucy go :D

Letz dance Lucy! - Purrdy :D

Have you ever tried an in leu Voula? It's a device that goes around the outside of the loo so that you squat instead of sit. They have been known to have some great results with Crohn's patients. I've had one myself for years as the whole concept just makes sense to me and also they are supposed to keep you continent when you get old. The rates of incontinence amongst Asians using squat loos are negligible as compared to Westerners.

I have heard of those Serryn. I should look into getting one. Thank you.

Are you in Melbourne? I had it in my head you were in NSW, hmmmmm maybe I can send my mum around to shoot those low numbers for you... Just kidding you can stop with the palpitations!

Maybe I should say NSW if your mum is too close and can come around when we have low numbers. :)
