Boo has earned a reduction but not sure how much to reduce. She landed in hypo territory today. A tablespoon of her regular food and a 1/4 tsp of honey got her back on track pretty quickly. Over the past couple of weeks, since being on an antibiotic, her response to insulin has been much better than anytime up to that point. I'm dosing U40 insulin with U100 syringes. She is currently getting 1.0 U40 unit (2.5 on the U100 syringe). I'm thinking that a reduction to .4 or .6 is in order, but not sure which to choose. I need to choose a very safe dose because the work week is starting and I won't be able to do any mid day tests. Any advise will be appreciated.

Since you can't monitor, I'd probably try .6. She is looking good and you don't want to lose momentum; I am thinking .4 might be too little. But as always you hold the syringe - only do what your gut says
