Hey kids:
We are really stumped here at the dutch ghetto. Was hoping to hear from my vet today but he must have gotten busy.

Asher has been in the 400s all day today. Could a “bounce" last all day? Thinking I have to lower but if I do will he be 500 tomorrow? Should I just stick with this dose and maybe things will clear?

I know these are probably unanswerable questions. But Tom and I are stumped. We don’t know where to go with his dose at all. And we have to shoot something at 7 pm.

Hoping someone out there has some thoughts. SS is up to date.

I can understand you wanting to hold the dose but in looking at your SS I don't see where he has not dipped low overnight.

I dont think a bounce would last all day at all. If you are certain he did not get a furshot then I don't know what to make of the am cycle. At some point in the cycle it would seem that 1.6u would push him lower except on 2/15 am cycle...2 units barely moved him. If it were daytime I would think he may need a BAM dose but that is out of the question for the PM cycle.

I am going with the unpopular answer! I think a bounce can last all day. Sometimes it takes two to three cycles to clear a bounce, BUT I also say as many low numbers as Asher has seen, I can't believe his body would not be more adjusted to the lower numbers. I would not expect his body to fight the lower numbers all day.

I also am giving advice that would be impossible for me to carryout...BUT, I say dose reduction!

I am thinking we have to reduce the dose. I am just terrified of a 5 or 600 tomorrow if we do. It is the toughest thing in the world to do :(

Back in the old days before this last dental, I would just raise the dose and not even ask. And that usually worked for us. Now it’s just so uncertain.

I agree that you risk higher numbers tomorrow if the reduction is not the "right" way to go. But, if he is higher in the morning, than you will adjust. It will seem like a lifetime, but it is only 12 hours.

I appreciate all of your input. All the responses were possibilities Tom and I talked thru. We decide to lower tonight to 1.2 and see what happens. (we shot 1.6 last night and this morning) If it’s crazy high tomorrow, we’ll raise. Just the pattern he is in lately makes us think things are different now and we have to think differently when arriving at a dose for him. I think I need a Xanax now.

Thanks again guys. It means TONS to be able to “talk” to you all.
