Hi Everyone,
It's been a couple days since I've been on. Stress is getting to
me and I had to go back to work today. Spent the whole day worried about Tigress.
Just a reminder. Tigress was DX 3/31/12. She's been on 1u of Lantus BID. I've only been able to get two successful BG test the first being on 4/3 at 478 the second being 4/7 at 351. My Vet prescribed the hills w/d dry food. It's what Tigress has been eating since 3/31. But I can't get it out of my head that it's the wrong diet for her! And my
Vet is just frustrating me! I decided to make the switch to wet food tonight. Doing Fancy Feast from the lists since its easily
Found at any store, no I never have to worry about running out of food and not being able to get her more. Plus it's affordable. So I'm hoping you guys can help me out once more. She needs to lose some weight so I was thinking of giving her one 3oz can onthe morning and one 3oz can at night. Is that enough food? She's currently 14lbs and doc wants her to lose 2-bs. Also how long can wet food stay out? She's never been one to eat all her food in one sitting. Also how can I avoid hypo episodes while I'm stuck at work all day. I know food. Any be left out for hours on end, should I maybe supplement the prescription dry food for the daytime while I'm at work until she's either eating all in one sitting or is regulated? Also I took a chance and ordered this stuff called Dia-Ionix. Anybody have any experience with it? I want to do everything to help my baby get well, even if it mean adding homeopathic remedies as well.
Also a side note or the bg test. I finally picked up some 28g lancets, hopefully
That helps with the blood draw. Everyone was right, I was using to small of a gauge. The 33g that came with the meter. Hopefully the 28g works better.
