Due to work I couldn't give my boy his shot until 6.5 hours after the regular time. He's on Prozinc. What's the soonest I can give him a shot again to edge it back on track? I can't leave it like this, it was 2:30 am so that's normal sleep/then work time for me.

***This is just my opinion***
I'm still new but if I was in that situation I would just wait until the next cycle time. Meaning for your times, normal shot time 08:00/20:00. Received shot 02:30 (PM shot 6.5 hours late). Skip 08:00 shot (Mark as Fur Shot). Hopefully get a couple BG tests to monitor, then give shot at 20:00 tonight to resume your schedule time.

Our Prozinc group isn't very big here but I can try to tag a couple people that help me :)

Edit: I had normal times wrong, corrected.

Hmm ok. So normally i give at 8am & pm. Since it was 2:30am i did not give the 8am. It's now noon and if I wait until 8 tonight that will be like 18 hours without a shot.

If you give now at noon, the next would be at 11pm soonest (1 hour early). Then you are still off for 8 am tomorrow morning with 10am being the soonest. You'd have to spend several days getting back to your preferred schedule. Or you just chalk it up to "stuff happens" and start back with 8pm tonight. Do whichever works best for you.

Edit: You shot at 2:30am so 12 hours 2:30pm. Soonest 1:30pm etc etc. You could give 7pm 1 hr early. That will make 8am 13 hrs instead of 12.

Yep I'd probably skip and just shoot an hour early or so tonight. Then you can walk it back to your normal shot time before Monday. Its just that if you shot now you'd be so far off schedule you couldn't get back before Monday and work.

I'm with the other folks here: skip and restart your normal schedule this evening. You can shoot up to an hour early tonight and not mess up your normal schedule. ProZinc has that flexibility.

I've been at this for a while, and my schedule gets a little wonky too sometimes. I'd just skip the dose and and resume with his normal dose even if the BG is higher, it'll even out with the next one or two shots. Just my opinion tho. ;)
