Duffy, in the last three weeks, has gone from getting a blood transfusion for hemolytic anemia, to normal. 3 days after being put on an immunosuppressant and 2 antibiotics, his kidney values go through the roof, BUN 168, CRE 8.01. So high I initially thought the vet was using a different scale. He was left on the drugs for 8 more days because I couldn't get anyone to call me back or respond to an email. When he developed an eye ulcer and severe nasal congestion I 'skipped' giving one antibiotic, and 2 days later I get ahold of the prescribing vet and she takes him off the immunosuppressant. That was 2 days ago. His new kidney values are BUN 69, CRE 4.0, not great but not in the how are you alive range.

Today he was prescribed Metronidazole for his rising liver values. Anyone use it for liver infection?

Today he was wandering around the house with his tail up and happily sitting in a sunny window.

And all thru this time his BG readings are ranging from 46 to 650 and all points in between.
