Hi, I'm DWF from North Carolina and my cat is Sam. Sam is 14.5 years old and has diabetes and asthma. Also, he was born with his back legs turned in but gets around great, just can't jump up onto things. But it's always my pleasure to help him.
My concern is with the reliability of the AlphaTrak3 test strips. I've read when comparing BG samples of the 2 (2 being the primary) and 3, the numbers are very dissimilar.
Has anyone else experienced this? My vet and I are both currently using the 2 but I know at some point he'll switch to the 3. When that happens, would I also need to switch or could I continue to use up my supply of 2s?
I'm real concerned about the reliability of the AlphaTrak3. I appreciate any help you can give me.
