there must be something at our house, or this is the reason Stewie wanted ME... Waiting to hear from the vet, Friday am... classic symptoms. have to get new bg tester, strips from my old one are very hard to come by.
on another note - Cotton is doing great!!! *shakes head*

Time to take that "Sugarcats Welcome" sign off your front door! Still hoping the tests all come back negative.

What glucometer are you using, Trish? I can send you a One Touch, if you like.

Trish, what's going on? One of your other kitties may be FD? Check for Hypert also, same signs as FD. Keep us posted.

Karen - the glucometer I've been using IS 10 years old, so I'm going to go to the drug store I called and she said I can get a free one with purchase of strips.
Everything is getting tested - he is only 4 years old...
I swear Stewie has done on purpose  He keeps looking longingly at the needle when Cotton gets her shot - has been since Cotton was dx'd...

Only four, I doubt hypert but who knows. Wonder if there's an infection brewing.

What type of meter are you getting? That's me just being nosey

Not sure yet, re meter - will go to the drug store's diabetic section and find out what's new.

Stewie eats like there's no tomorrow; camps out by the bathtub when not drinking from it; the concrete is back in the boxes and he's skin and bones, but weighs 11 lbs. He has no signs of neuropathy. to be honest, he doesn't come from very healthy stock...

((TRISH)) Maybe just a fluke or infection? Shiloh was only 5 when he got diabetes. Dry food lover. I hope it's nothing bad. Maybe you got him for this reason. If one of my new cats come down with diabetes, I will consider this is why they are here. I love the name Stewie, by the way. Reminds me of The Thorn Birds, remember. That cute little boy. Gotta work to get mine off of the dry completely. Donna
