I’ll have her test results tomorrow.

Hailey has been in remission. But I noticed tonight that she doesn’t seem to be feeling well. I offered her dinner and she didn’t want it. I offered her her favorite snack, which is freeze dried chicken and she didn’t want that either. She is usually revenant to get it. I tested her twice. She was at 153 and 169. I’m panicking. I haven’t been on spreadsheet for a while the last time she tested 120 about a month ago. Before that she was around the 70s.

She was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. Since the diabetes can affect that and that can affect her diabetes, I had her have the radioactive iodine shot 95% to 98% of cure it. I’ve been having her tested for it every month for the last two months and have an appointment this month also. She’s just about in the normal range so that is looking good .

her number haven’t been this high for her diabetes and so long, I forgot what to do. Can someone help?

If she's feeling unwell, that could elevate BG. Is she showing any symptoms besides not wanting to eat?
Hi! She just looks kind of quiet. She’s been hiding either in my closet or underneath an armoire but, I think that’s mostly because her two brothers harass her. She really dislikes them. I can tell she’s different today though. She’s under my bed and won’t come out. She won’t even come out to get her favorite snack, which is freeze dried chicken breast pieces. That’s how I know for sure she doesn’t feel well. Even after eating, she beg me for them. And she acts like she’s ravenous for them. Now she doesn’t want anything to do with having her dinner or having her snack.

I’ve been texting with Chris R. I’m going to get her to the vet as soon as I can to have her checked out.

I guess it’s not really a symptom but, every night, when she drinks from her water fountain, she meows at it. She’s not doing that tonight. She just came out of hiding from under the bed and she’s just sitting in front of her water fountain and she’s not meowing at it. She’s not drinking either. She’s just standing in front of it. So, it’s obvious to me that she’s not herself. I’m going to get her to the vet as soon as possible.

They do not need to vomit to be nauseous. Hanging over the water bowl and inappetence are signs of nausea.

Good to know, Ty.

She went to the vet today. She lost about a pound. Her temperature was low. She’s going back on insulin. Maybe the radioactive iodine shot worked too well and now she has hypothyroidism. But, that would make her gain weight, maybe it will eventually. Her poor little ears are going to be busy, if that’s the case. One to be tested on and one to have the transdermal meds rubbed on. I’ll have the test results tomorrow. She did eat and drink when she came home. She still looks like she doesn’t feel well though. She’s laying down on the wooden floor with her face in the corner.
