I use Breeze litter box system which has clay pellets over a screen type thing and a pad to catch the urine:

Prior to the diabetes diagnosis I could go without changing the pad for more than a week. I opened the tray today and it was literally filled to the brim with urine. While I can't measure that I'd say that is peeing way to much. Her drinking varies in consumption. She is not regulated yet, she eats 2-3 cans of FF chicken daily. I am working my way through the board information. I read the thread on excessive urination she is going in the litter box that is not a problem. Is the excessive urination something I have to take action on?
