We got our diagnosis a week+a few days ago and started dosing and BG testing about a week ago.

Did our first glucose curve at home on Friday, as we wanted to avoid Pedey being stressed out at the vet, but he is very upset with us now - hiding under the couch, not really snuggling us, etc. Pedey unfortunately does not like treats, wet food, human food or really anything except his dry food (we've offered him the like his whole life) and so I'm desperately trying to figure out something to reward him with. We've been brushing him with his favorite brushes and that worked for 3 days, but now he's over it, and he really only likes one toy that we've been playing with nonstop.

Cuddles seem to help a bit but he's basically very disappointed in us. Any thoughts on non-traditional or absolutely fool-proof treats to give him? I hate seeing him so upset!

I bought a ton of different kinds of treats trying to find something Hendrick would go nuts for, but based on your post I guess you've tried all the stuff like Whole Life One Ingredient freeze-dried, Halo Liv-a-littles, etc?

our cats go freaking NUTS for Liv-a-littles or Whole Life one ingredient treats. But they didn't at first. it took a few tries offering the new item

also the Orijen Tundra ones and the Orijen Original. Very popular with the pack

Here's a list I used that I found linked on this site:

Halo

Whole Life

Freeze dried Primal turkey

Orijen (both the cat and dog treats)

Weruva fish treats

Stewart freeze dried chicken liver cat/dog treats

Thrill freeze dried treats

Vital Essentials

My cat doesn’t like any kind of freeze dried treats but he does like Tiki Cat Ahi Tuna, so that’s what we give him for treats.
