FIrst My Mom--Mom was transferred out of Critical Care today. She is still being montiored extensively. It has been a really scary time, but hopefully the meds will work and she can avoid surgery. Thanks for all the well wishes!
I Sprung Super Cool this afternoon. She was so happy to see me, but no happier than I was to see her. I might check her into the vet every couple of weeks, just so I can enjoy the reunion. I can relate it to breaking up so you could make up......!!!
She has followed me all over the house and wanted to go out--something she hasn't wanted to do lately. She seems to feel a lot better--maybe, the Ptitis is under control.
The vet has been giving Kitty 5 units and has had pretty good success with it. It is hard to judge her preshots while boarding--as the am cycle is 10 hours and the pm cycle is 14--due to their office hours. But, both pmps have been in the 320 range. There doesn't appear to be any bounce occurring. The vet actually shot 5 units into the 320 last night (glad I didn't know!) and this morning at +14 she was 449. I know that sounds high, but I had been seeing those type numbers at +10--so, we will see. Tonight her pmps (+13) was 427--I shot 5 units.
I am sticking with the 5 units through the weekend--hopefully, we will see good numbers.
The insulin switch and new Prozinc dosing regiments are on the table and I will discuss with the vet further on Monday. I will post later the Prozinc recommendations, as I would like some feedback from you.
Glad to be home for a few hours!
