I'm just now catching up and learning that dear Shoes has crossed the Bridge. I am so very sorry. I know what a special cat he was, and how devoted to him you were. He knew how much you loved him, and that you would honor his wishes when it was time and set him free, although I know you didn't want to let him go.

He was very blessed to have you as his mama. I wish you peace as you adjust to your new normal. Remember, he will always be with you, waiting at the bridge until the day you meet again.

He is, thanks. It was all a bit touch and go for a while, thought we were going to loose him. He's doing great, his appy is back to normal and he's perkier (as much as can be expected for an old boy).
