teehee
um, with my syringes I call it .5u when the top of the stopper is in line with the top of the half mark syringe line.
.75u is the top of the stopper at the bottom of the half mark syringe line.
Thusly, ( don'tcha like that word?! ) 1u would be the top of stopper even with top of 1 unit mark syringe line and so on.
Doesn't really matter to US where you pull plunger to as long as YOU know where you pull it to for each dose and stay consistent.
So, for anything less than .5u, the method I used was to pull to the .5u dose and squeeze off how many ever drops of insulin to count down to where I want to be.
For .4u, I'd pull to .5u and squeeze off one drop.
Note also, that the bottom of the plunger- the part where the plastic meets the rubber- can also be used to help mark your micro dose. As an example, on my ReliOn syringe, to get .1u the BOTTOM of the black rubber plunger is at the TOP of the 4u line.
You can also locate writing on the barrel of the syringe being in line with a place o the plunger and mark a micro dose that way.
okay- now sit down and have your tea!
