Hey Jackie! SS looks great!!! One suggestion I might make: In the "notes" section, jot down exactly what brand/flavor/amount your are feeding. That way, if he has any GI issues down the road, you can take a glance and see what he was eating on any given day :-D

Jackie, Once you make changes to the SS over in Google, the changes are automatically saved and the updates are republished with each change you make. You don't need to do anything special to get the new version for people to see. It will be automatic, the way I set it up for you and that is the way we suggest that everyone uses.

I got a 185 at 3pm. I also heard from the doc who said his fructosamine was 164 and the day that he was here (MOnday) his level was 125! My meter said 162 so that's interesting!

AGain, more worried about Petie's little kidneys now. He went from a BUN of 29 to 46 and a creatine of 1.6 to 2.0 in 1 month. Maybe the salmon meal in the Young Again? I was also feeding him fish-based dry food for a month until I realized that was bad and I switched that :(

Sigh. This is all so confusing.

Oh and his white blood cell count is elevated. Which I guess could be from the injury? He does limp still every once in a while.

I know that now :(

But the Young Again (which was recommended on this board) might not be best for bad kidneys? It has salmon meal - what do you think?

Thanks, Wendy. I did look at it. It's just all so confusing. I guess I will have to start making my own food.

BTW - I heard back from that company called "From scratch" and they said their carbs are 5%. Is that ok?

Um it depends on what the 5% is of... Weight, volume, %calories. We need %calories from carbs "as fed". Not all manufactures can provide this. Can you hold off feeding it a few days? I am wondering if that's what spiked his blood yesterday.

Oh ok - I will contact them again and see if I can get that ratio. Yesterday, he didn't have any of the From Scratch. He only ate Wellness, licked some Evo, and had some chicken - all with his dry food on top and dry food in between.

Is it this company?

If yes, the ingredients are:
"Dipaola™turkey thighs, ground flax, rolled oats, Paffenroth farm carrots, extra virgin olive oil, Millport Dairy pastured eggs, Solgar™ multivitamins, Solgar™ bonemeal, slippery elm, and Solgar™ taurine."

The 2 items bolded are sources of carbohydrate.

It depends on how much is in there.

I suspect the oats are there for both protein and fiber.
The carrots are for betacarotene which is converted into Vitamin A.
