Newbie here AGAIN!
Thanks for all the helpful tips, and general support! My newest question is:
This morning, Reese’s AMPS BGL was 451 (the highest number I’ve seen) and I was able to inject her with her current 1U dose of Vetsulin. I wasn’t home to test all day, but just did her PMPS and she is down to 251 (lowest PMPS yet). Why would her numbers swing so widely? I don’t understand what’s happening. I think she ate about the same amount of food yesterday and today - about 2 cans of FF classic so far. I plan to give her her prescribed insulin dose after she finishes dinner. I will try to get another BGL this evening before bed to see what’s happening after dinner/insulin. I just thought that was weird - so high in the AM and not in the PM. BGL’s were taken almost exactly 12 hours apart, I think the main difference was this morning she hadn’t eaten in quite a few hours (8.5), and tonight she hadn’t eaten in about 2.5 hours.
