I DID IT!!

I'm excited!!! We did it!! We got our Lantus script!!! I can now successfully change from Prozinc to Lantus!!

Our appointment was this morning. Mildly annoyed because the whole point was that the vet wanted Tuffy's fructosamine test and to talk about switching over.

I get there, they talked, weighted my cat, then gave me the information.

That was it. $35 visit. No test. Whatever though, she gave me what I wanted, I didn't have to switch vets. All that stress for nothing. However, I think because I gave them SUCH a headache with all this Lantus stuff they probably suspected this was the last straw and gave it to me. It also could have been the review that said I was thinking about changing vet's. Lol.

Thank you all for the good vibes!! Now, hopefully we can improve my cat's well-being!

Yeah, so excited for you. So now you get some data and prove to the vet it was a good decision.

Had to do that with my first kitty. Got lantus from people offering their extra through supply closet. Then months later when vet saw how much better Smokey was, well now it's his preferred insulin to script. Had to do the same with Olive and lev. Had gotten it from many sources. Had a year supply shortly after she got here. She seemed to need higher dose and I had to make sure we had enough until I could convince or find vet who would script it. Original vet is still on the fence about lev. Her new vet has no problem since she was on it already.
