I think I have just figured out what is wrong with Phoebe at night. Because the cerenia gets mushy really quickly we were putting it in a pill pocket to adminster. We were wasting 2 or 3 pills trying without the pocket. Maybe it's not being absorbed. Just read up and lo and behold, your not supposed to put it in pill pocket. :( :( :( someone here has probably told me that, but must have got lost in my frazzled brain. Poor Phoebes. We put it in a capsule, is that ok? Jeez do I feel bad. Smh

Capsules are fine! Yeah with a pill pocket you might as well be feeding her donuts. Lol

Well in my defense we did get the duck and pea ones. :) those are less carbs. And we break off pieces. One pocket might last 9 pills. Can I crush the zofram? The cerenia fits in a #5 capsule but not the zofram.

Don't feel bad. I was giving Leo Metronizidole for his diarrhea and kept telling his vet that it wasn't working.. Later I re read the bottle and I realized I was only giving him one pill once a day instead of 2 a day. His vet couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. It was me that wasn't working! I've given many pills pulverized and mixed in food but some can't be done that way. I always checked with a pet pharmacy to see what I could do with each med. Compounded liquid forms help sometimes if it's hard to pill a cat. I used to find a pill somewhere on the floor after I was sure he had swallowed it. They are sly little creatures when it comes to hiding the pills until later. I hope your Phoebes gets to feeling better.

One of my kitty's growing up actually did eat donuts. We couldn't leave anything that you'd find in a bakery on the counters. Had to hide it all in the microwave or bread drawer :cat:[/QUOTE

Yes she was a carbaholic. Crackers, bread, donuts, could care less about lunch meats and chicken. Give her the carbs. Not anymore for sure. :)
