Just had an episode where cat is racing around acting like she had 6 cups of coffee. Could this have to do with BG fluctuations? Not really worried, just very odd behavior for her.

Bumping to help make the post more visible. Not sure if it is related, did it happen when her numbers where high or lower?

IMs (Invisible Mice)! Idjit does this once in awhile. Last week he raced all through the main floor, then up the stairs. He must have careened against his litter box upstairs, because it was on its side and litter was spread across the floor. There weren't any deposits in it, thank goodness, but Dad had to sweep and then vacuum, and put things to rights.
I think it's because he's feeling good and needs a good run RIGHT NOW, or there really are little Invisible Mice hiding in the house. He doesn't really play with toys, but he attacks the ends of the rugs, burrows around flipping them up and down.

Reminds me of this ad I always get on Chewy. We have a boy that is LOONY for rugs, and would love this thing. But I can't wrap my head around even considering buying a $40 nonfunctional rug.

Likely higher. Wasn’t really concerned, just was wondering if anyone else has seen this, the only other time I’ve seen that type of behavior is from catnip. Thinking maybe the major fluctuations in BG lately have her feeling funny and maybe had some extra energy.

I have a non diabetic tortie that does that sometimes, especially late at night and is usually after she tries to play with the older ones and they do not play with her is like she just goes ballistic because she's turned down

That describes Benny to a T - he's got quite a crazy streak in him. In the months before his diagnosis, he'd been acting so lethargic, we thought our poor little guy was just getting old and slowing down, which we never thought would happen. Turned out that once we started getting his BG into a healthy range, our little demon boy was back! In Benny, it's a sure sign that he's feeling good and that all is well. We've always said that we hope he never grows up; seriously, he's like an exuberant child and we love it. One of his favorite things is to hide behind furniture as we walk through the house and try to sneak up on us. I love that he thinks he's big enough to stalk a human!
