Hunter: BS dropping at +9 help?

Hello!

My boy Hunter has been on Lantus since about November. Seeing some improvement in his numbers, but now he has started a new thing where his BS drops about 9 hours after his morning shot. So when it is time for his evening shot, he is sometimes in the 100s when I don't feel comfortable shooting him 4u. The vet has suggested I try 3u at night, but I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do.

Here is his spreadsheet. Any advice welcome!

With the dosing methods we use here, we find that using the same dose AM and PM is better, and easier to figure out how to change the dose. That 65 you got a couple nights ago is too low on an AT. We consider below 68 our take action number on the AT, where we give high carb food and itnearns a dose reduction.

We determine the dose based on how low it takes the cat, not the highs. He is bouncing now, I would not shoot 4 units again. Maybe try 3.5 units both AM and PM.

Sorry, not clear which meter you are using. Your signature says human meter and the spreadsheet says AlphaTrak. Still might be worth trying 3.5 and see if you can shoot the same dose day and night. I am pretty sure he went below 50 (human meter take action point) a couple nights ago, he was dropping fast.
