Human meters

Hi,

I have recently switched to using the ReliOn Prime meter for Bo. I want to be able to provide my vet with some info on using human meters with cats. Can anyone point me towards research that supports using human meters? Specifically, I am looking for something that will provide reference ranges so the vet will be able to understand my curves.

I don't know if a reference to a study.... But normal range on a human meter is 50-120 and on a pet meter it's 68-150.

Interesting tidbit......pet meters are a relatively new technology. Before they existed, vets used human meters.

Where does the range for the human meter come from?

I presume they were determined when human meters were originally used in cats. They have also been used in more recent studies with some insulins such a THIS.
