My cat Garfield is 10 years old. Friday he was diagnosed with diabetes. He was put on ProZinc twice a say. He had not been eating and was lethargic. The vet gave him fluids through IV and the prozinc. All through the weekend he did not eat on his own. I fed him chicken baby food with a syringe. I have offered him many foods, dry, wet, canned tuna, canned chicken, chicken baby food. Still he would not eat. I took him back to the vet today. She has cut down his Prozinc dosage and gave him vallum so that he would eat. He did eat. She sent me home with 3 more doses of it. She says if he does not start eating we will have to put a feeding tube in him. I want to try to avoid this. He is still not eating. Any suggestions on how to get my cat to eat?
