I disagree with pumping air into a vile. When you acquire a syringe it is sterile, but then when air is drawn in, it's not. Then to make matters worse that air is injected into the vial..over and over. I don't think this is good practice. Each time the vial is punctured I'm pretty sure the pressure is equalized.
If the syringe comes in a sealed pouch, open the end and drawn the plunger out just enough to break the friction ( about 1/8 inch ) then push back in and remove from the package. It is has a capped end. leave the cap on until friction is broken and plunger returned. I always get good results from this practice.
