My work schedule is forcing me to leave one hour earlier. This might only be for a couple days I hope. Shot time now is 5:30-5:30. I live alone. How can I safely move his shot to 4;30ish.? Would it hurt to shoot like 1/2 hour earlier this pm shot. And then again on am. I'm fairly new and don't know what to do any suggestions.
.

Start now, move it 10 or 15 minutes at a time, do the reverse when things are back to normal. (Normal? What's that?)
I've only ever used Caninsulin with two low maintenance cats, this was never an issue for me.
You're still new here, wait for daylight savings hysteria.

Can't speak specifically as to Lantus as my cat is on Novolin N but in general terms, when it is necessary to move shot time, it is usually safe to move in 1/2 hour increments over a twenty-four hour period. So 1/2 hour earlier for pm shot today and the additional 1/2 hour earlier for tomorrow's pm shot.

Lantus is very sensitive to schedule changes so is not as easy as the other insulins, with lantus you have two options either move the shooting time by 15 minutes every shoot till you get to the time you need or change it by 30 minutes every 24 hours that would be you shoot 30 minutes earlier tonight ( that would be 5:00 pm )but you have to keep the same time tomorrow morning (5:00 am) and another 30 minutes tomorrow night keeping the same schedule the next morning and so on until you reach the time you need

This is the reason for the daylight savings hysteria :p

Thank you all for the replies, and important information. I'll shot 15 minutes early this PM. And the same in the morning. This will be just enough time I need. I hate to shoot and run. He has recently gotten his first yellow PS. So hasn't given me much to worry about yet. Thanks again.
