How early is it safe before normal shot to give shot?

There is a wake I need to go to tonight that is 30 minutes away from 5-7 pm. My cats dosing time is 6pm. If I can dose him 15 minutes earlier I can get there late and hang around longer than if I go early and get back at 6-6:15.
If I gave him a shot at 5:45 instead of 6 Would that be safe? Or even 20 Minutes earlier? I plan to test shoot and leave when I do.
Any advice?
 
You've got half an hour window to shoot a full dose early. Any earlier and you want to reduce slightly.
