Great numbers all day. He ate a little after each meal. FF classic chicken. FF classic turkey after plus 9 and he tests +600 at PMPS. What the heck causes that kind of bounce? I even tested twice. Have no clue how much to shoot.

The body gets used to being in the high numbers. All of a sudden, it gets a low number. The pancreas panics and releases a bunch of sugar into the blood system. Hence a higher number...a bounce. Once the body starts getting used to those lower numbers, it won't go into panic mode.

Sounds like my Tigger! Good explanation about bouncing..thank you!! I just can't figure it out...lows and I get all excited, then he bounces sky high. Frustrating!

Thanks for this explanation! I've been concerned Sketch is all over the place with his numbers. Yesterday he was 270 preshot which concerned me because he isn't normally that low. I fed him and gave him his shot, and five hours later he was at 360!

Bouncing may happen with sudden drops in glucose or actual hypoglycemia, too.
