How do I get BG's Lower?

Would some of you mind looking at Frodo's SS and letting me know what or if I should be doing anything. I would really love to see more greens or am I asking for to much.

I think his numbers look really good but his morning numbers are always in the low 100's. He has had to shots since 7/29 and the last one was .1 or a as close to a drop as I could get and it dropped him pretty low in 3 hours. A lot depends on how much he eats over night. I give him food before bed and he eates some of it and then eats the rest sometime through out the night. So the reading on 8/5 that was 131 he could have very easily have just eaten and I did not know since he dropped so low after that drop of insulin. Guess that is why I am now leary about shooting unless I know for sure when he has eaten.

He is acting like he feels better than he ever has in his life. He is playing and running and the neuropathy in his back legs is pretty much gone. He walks more than I have seen him do in several years, he use to just walk a little then sit down. The only way I could be happier would be for him to be OTJ.

I appreciate any and all feedback.

I think he looks great, Nancey. We say kitties are in remission when they range from 40 to 120, with the majority of the time in double digits, for 2 weeks. He is certainly in that range. If you want to, sometime when you have the time, you can do a curve and see where his numbers range. He seems to go up in the higher blues sometimes, but he brings himself down without insulin.

A way to confirm to yourself that his pancreas is working is to test, then feed him and test an hour later. If his numbers go down without insulin and with food, his pancreas is helping out.

Thanks Sue, I will do a curve on him this weekend, and also test to see if his pancreas is jumping in and helping out. Seems like it has to be doing something since his numbers have been dropping on their own.

I help but wish I could get him to stay int he double digits more often. I think the nights he doesn't get up to eat or eats everything I give him early in the night is when he hits the blues. Then one he eats it drops, the time feeder has been a wonderful way to provide those little meals during the day and evenings when I am at work. Maybe I should set the timer for one snack during the night to help keep him from hitting the blues.

I would love to say he was in remission soon...
