I have a rare opportunity to go to my son's wedding in November for a week. Espresso has only been on injections since July-Aug. of this year. I don't know where to even start to find an affordable babysitter that would take Espresso into their home for a week and give twice a day injections in the Williamsburg, VA area. Any suggestions, please?

You might ask the vet techs at your vet's office. They are often looking for extra cash.

You could get a pet sitter to come to your home ?

I hire a former vet tech (now pet sitter). I got the referral from my vet. I taught her to test my cat and she texts me the numbers. I wouldn't say it's cheap, but at least I have piece of mind while I'm gone.

Originally, I looked on-line for pet sitters. Many of them say they can treat pets with medical conditions. I'd check references.

Try going to pet sitters international website.
You put in your zip code to find registered sitters in your area.
These are bonded and usually trained pet sitters and a lot of them know exactly what to do for insulin shots and the like.

So far I have had great luck and the pet sitting costs are generally reasonable.
Ask for what different options there are though - most only post standard 1 or 2 visits / day rates (if they post at all).
But there are many flexible enough to work out an injection schedule and help keep the costs down so you are ot having to pay for 2 hour long visits every day if not needed or in budget.

www.psi.com (I think) but google it.
good luck!

I just looked at that website and they want $140 / year to be on their website. ( I do petsitting in my little town)

I would say to visit all the vets in your location....
I myself, have a flyer ( free advertising) on our two vet's bulletin boards. Most of us who do this will provide references.
And if you have a library, they might have a bulletin board as well.
You could also put up your own flyer that you are looking for a cat person who might want to swap sitting or who could help you out.

Thank You ! I'll call some vet offices and check out the places recommended. I placed a free newspaper ad in the free "comment" section of our local paper. I hope they print it.

Where is the wedding?

If it is north of or near the Washington D.C. area you could leave her with me.
