How can I test without food?

Hello, a lot of people have recommended me testing Neo with random spot chekcs, the thing is that he will only let me test him if he's eating, and I'm worried that this may affect the measures.

Yes, I usually feed him 2 smaller meals, one each cycle

How so? His main meals are half a can and his 2 smaller ones are 1/4

You can give it any time, but preferably in the first half of the cycle.
