? How can BG go down w/out insulin?

He did come over two nights ago to watch me do the whole thing.
Even afterward, when I said all I would need would be the insulin injection. Even simplified it telling him if Jester misses a dose it's not critical by any means.
He's still nervous.

I'm considering getting one of those pet versions of a nanny cam so, if he feels like he wants me to oversee from a distance I can do that. Not that I can afford something like that with all the medical testings.....
I think if you get your sitter over a few times and watch while he injects that practice will do a lot to eliminate his nervousness.

Not sure if this is because of the slightly higher carby food Jester's decided is his current one and only or no insulin last night and only .25U this morning - even though his AMPS was just 152. But PMPS was nearly 200 tonight.

Back up to .5U again.

EDIT - looking back higher evening numbers do seem to be generally his norm.....
Last night could have been an aberration.

Any chance of bringing your sitter over and letting him give Jester his dose sometimes? That might help...if you're right there and he's seen it a few times and then he tries it a few times, he might feel a LOT better. And since you'll be there, he'll know if he can't do it, you'll be able to so that might help him too...and I think once he tries it, he'll realize it isn't that bad.

That's the plan. I just have to ease him into it all.

There are two days coming up that I'm proposing as "dry run" days where he'll have a chance to give Jester his insulin with me not there.

I do think the video idea, if I could afford it, might set Jim's mind more at ease.
