Honey vs Corn Syrup in a crash

Only my corn syrup has info on the label, "Sugar 11grams" on a 500ml bottle. That's 2.2%. My vet says corn syrup is sweeter than honey. In addition to that confusion it's not very scientific to put "a bit" on the cats gums. A bit??? How much is that? Anyone know of a table/chart concerning the cats weight, meter reading and whether you're using corn syrup or honey?
When honey crystalizes (if that's what it's doing) what do I do? Heat it, toss it and buy a new one, something else?
I put some on Noah's gums. Is there a better way? I've tried a force-feed syringe but that didn't work out.
MODERATOR, is it only me seeing these posts in some kind of Asian script?

Re honey versus corn syrup (karo): I don't think it really matters which and I don't think there's a specific dose to use when treating a hypo. Either one serves as a concentrated sugar source to bring up BG quickly. It doesn't last though so it has to be supplemented with something starchy like gravy from a high carb wet food.

Probably because Karo syrup (corn syrup, not to be confused with high fructose corn syrup) is known to have a higher glycemic index than honey... which is why it's usually recommended for hypoglycemia. However corn syrup, honey, the lactose in milk or ice cream, and high carb foods... all these things will help bring BG numbers up when kitty is running too low.

How much is needed to bring BG numbers up depends on circumstances such as if low numbers are at the beginning of the cycle, mid-cycle, or the end of the cycle, how low the numbers are, and/or the carb sensitivity of the cat. When in doubt, err on the side of caution. And as Kris has stated, the temporary boost may not last too long, so continue monitoring and feed if necessary.
