? Homemade WITHOUT EZ question #7

I will be starting home cooked food as soon as my premix arrives.

Does anyone have a recipe they like? I have searched and I know I bookmarked some, but I can't find them now.

I use Dr. Pierson's recipe also. Where did you find the premix? I bought some raw food at Petco to see if my cats liked it. All 4 cats loved it.

I'm going to use EZ Complete for cats. Ordered from Food Fur Life.

It's for raw diet adding your own supplements. I'm cooking it and using premix supplements.

So I started with chicken and EZ on 9/4 and he loves it. Since then his glucose has been rising. Turkey he did not care for. Today I made beef not putting EZ in it and will mix with the turkey til it's gone.

I'm thinking something in EZ is raising his glucose. Would it be healthy enough to not use EZ and just feed the cooked food?

I looked up the ingredients on the EZ and nothing stands out that would raise his sugar. If you don't use the EZ you have to add your own supplements to your mix. Personally I do not use EZ and add my own supplements.

I even asked the company. It's very possible it's just a coincidence. I'm using the premix so I don't mess up adding individual supplements. I would skip one or double one by accident.

Even though I use Dr Pierson's recipe on cat info.org, I also use feline nutrition.org. There is a recipe calculator on that site. I just put in the weight of the meat & bones and it tells me the amount of supplements to use. Very easy!
